Training Center Lucien Huss

Founded in 2008, the Training Centre Lucien Huss is a place of gathering, solidarity and
learning languages and informatics skills for the migrants of all origins.

This year, more than 250 courses of French, Luxembourgish, German, English and Informatics
have been organized and more than 4400 inscriptions were accounted for.
We even provide courses of literacy in French and these have had a tremendous success.

Our association aims at great goals like intercultural exchanges, the art of living together and citizenship.

Our goals:

1. Facilitate integration into the workplace

2. Improve social integration for the immigrants

3. Faster social mixing and citizenship

I. Facilitate integration into the workplace in order to:

  • Better development of professional skills through learning languages and informatics.
  • Work hand in hand with the employment agency (ADEM) and inform the students
about the structures in place in Luxembourg; teach them how to set up a CV,
an application form and how to deal with a job interview.

II. Improve social integration for the immigrants like fighting against isolation and
the tendency to of forming groups by community or ethnicity. We achieve this through cultural
activities such as simple visits in Luxembourg, organising events as the annual CFLH
party, the migration festival and many others.

III. Faster social mixing and citizenship:

  • A better knowledge of country’s history, and also of the city in order to "fit in" by
visits at famous and cultural places at Luxembourgish and European Union
    institutions and others.
  • Gain insight into the local events and improve the knowledge of traditions,
cultural habits and more through the national medias.

To achieve all these, the CFLH works with partners like Amitié-Portugal-Luxembourg.
Furthermore, CFLH works closely with the social workers like: OLAI, ADEM, CIGL and other
associations which are aiming same goals.

With a team of skilled teachers and passionate volunteers, the training center has acquired a
strong reputation on a national scale and the number of courses we propose are increasing
each year !

Regarding our teachers:

For the new school year 2020-2021, we brought together a team of 34 language and information technology teachers.

They are all qualified and approved by the Luxembourg Ministry of Education.
